تدفینهای کروملیچی بهعنوان یکی از انواع قبور مگالیتیک میتواند بهعنوان یک شاخص در بررسی مسیر حرکت اقوام کوچرو در شمالغرب ایران قرار بگیرد. کروملیچ بهطور کلی برای ساختار سازهای از حلقه های سنگی مدور که تدفینی را در خود جای داده به کار برده می شود. این پژوهش با بررسی شاخصههای عوامل زیستمحیطی و محیط جغرافیایی نقش آنها را در پراکندگی قبور مگالیتیک کروملیچ در حوزۀ شمالغرب ایران با شیوۀ توصیفی-تحلیلی مورد بررسی و تحلیل قرار خواهد داد. مسئلۀ اصلی این پژوهش مشخصکردن عوامل و مؤلفههای ژئومورفیک در مکان گزینی با الگوهای متناسب با زندگی وابسته به دام اقوام کوچرو و چگونگی تجلی کنش متقابل بین این اقوام و محیط فیزیکی است. بر این اساس سؤالات ذیل مطرح شده است: 1-تأثیرپذیری ساختار سازهای تدفین های کروملیچی در شمالغرب ایران از محیط طبیعی به چه شکلی قابل ارائه می باشد؟ 2-پهنۀ گستردگی تدفین های کروملیچی شمالغرب ایران در کدام مناطق و تحتتأثیر کدام عوامل محیطی شکل گرفته است؟ این پژوهش با بررسی ساختارهای سازهای قبور کروملیچ در شمالغرب ایران با استفاده از نرم افزار سیستم اطلاعات جغرافیایی (GIS) پراکنش تدفین ها و تاثیر عوامل جغرافیایی بر مصالح، معیشت و مسیر اقوام کوچرو در پهنۀ جغرافیای آنها نمایان خواهد کرد. بهنظر می رسد تدفینهای کروملیچی در شمالغرب ایران در چهار گونۀ کروملیچ استاندارد، کروملیچ تپه ای،کروملیچ پلهای و کروملیچ مفروش قابل دستهبندی باشند.
