با توجه به اخذ امتیاز علمی-پژوهشی نشریه و پیش بینی روند رو به رشد دریافت مقالات از طرف نویسندگان محترم، بدین وسیله به اطلاع می رساند، جهت بررسی اولیه مقالات توسط دبیران علمی نشریه، نیازی به رعایت شیوه نامه مفصل یا قالب اصلی نوشتار مقالات نیست و نویسندگان می توانند با رعایت شیوه نام اولیه موجود در سامانه نشریه، مقالات خود را ارسال نمایند. زیرا امکان آن وجود دارد که پس از تعیین تکلیف و داوری مقالات، در صورت پذیرش، آن را بر اساس شیوه نامه تنظیم نمایند.

Welcome to ICIA

The first International Congress on the Iranian Archaeometry (ICIA), is a most welcome forum to present the latest data and updates of the archaeometry research and archaeological science, covering the full spectrum of topics, materials, techniques, time span and global applications. This congress will be held in Tabriz, Islamic Republic of IRAN.

ICIA, a biannual regular congress, will be starting at 2018 in Tabriz by Tabriz Islamic Art University along with all Iranian related universities and institutions. Any kind of cooperation and suggestions from other universities or institutions are welcome.

The Congress Covers the Following Major Sessions:

  • Archaeochronometry and new trends in dating methods
  • Human environment and bioarchaeology
  • Remote sensing, geophysical prospection and field archaeology
  • Provenance and manufacturing technology of archaeological findings
  • Artifact studies
  • Mathematical methods
  • Geophysical-survey techniques for buried features
  • Conservation sciences, involving the study of decay processes and the development of new methods of conservation of  stone, plaster and pigments, ceramics, glazes, glass and vitreous materials, and metals and metallurgical ceramics.

POSTERS

• At least one author of the poster should register (including conference fees) for the congress.

• Any kind of work in progress related to Near Eastern Archaeology will be considered.

• Accepted poster format is up to A0 (recommended).

• Posters can be displayed from Monday lunch-time and have to be taken down on Friday morning.

• There will be a special poster session on Tuesday afternoon with the possibility of discussing the presented research on the spot.

WORKSHOPS

Workshops will be accepted after evaluation by the scientific committee, in order of their date of submission – according to the space available.

Participants wishing to organize a workshop are invited to propose themes to the Organizing Committee, submitting an abstract. Workshops must not last more than one day.

Proponents must provide at least 6, maximum 15 active (and registered including conference fees) participants for each workshop (list of participants has to be submitted together with the abstract).

Important Information 

1. Submit your paper to ICIA 
Please submits your full paper/abstract to us via the Online Submission System. The congress secretary will contact you on receipt of your paper, your paper will be given an ID and undergoes the review of scientific committee.

  1. All speakers are requested to observe a 20 minutes limit for their papers
  2. All speakers must be registered in the congress
  3. No papers or posters dealing with unprovenanced artifacts will be accepted
  4. Abstracts submitted for papers, workshops or posters should be no longer than 300 words.
  5. All submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the scientific committee, information on accepted proposals will be sent via e-mail.

Publication

All the accepted papers will be published by "Journal of Research on Archaeometry" (ISSN: 2476-4639), a peer-reviewed open access journal that can ensure the widest dissemination of your published work.
