گلسنگ ها با استقرار خود در سطوح سنگی باعث ایجاد آسیب های جدی در سطح سنگ می شوند. استقرار برون سنگی باعث ایجاد آسیب های بصری شده ولی استقرار درون سنگی علاوه بر آسیب های بصری باعث ایجاد آسیب های جدی در اعماق سنگ و ایجاد حفرات و شکستگی های جزئی در سنگ می شود که زمینه را برای نفود سایر ارگانیسم ها، آسیب های عمیق فراهم می نماید. با توجه به اهمیت تاریخی سطوح سنگ های نقش دار در میراث جهانی تخت جمشید و آسیب های ناشی از گلسنگ های درون سنگی به این آثار ارزشمند، هدف این پژوهش، بررسی نقش مخرب گلسنگ های درون سنگی خانواده Verrucariaceae در این سایت میراث جهانی می باشد. در این مطالعه، جهت تشخیص جنس و بافت سنگ از لحاظ پتروگرافی، مقاطع نازکی تهیه گردید. برای تشخیص مواد آلی موجود در سطح سنگ و تغییر رنگ بین آن ها از مطالعات پتروگرافی و FTIR استفاده شد. همچنین با استفاده از میکروسکوپ الکترونی و استریومیکروسکوپ نوری آسیب های ناشی از بایوپیت های ناشی از تال گلسنگ درون سنگی بررسی شد. با مطالعات پتروگرافی، جنس و منشا پیدایش سنگ ها و میزان آسیب پذیری آن ها تعیین گردید، یافته های FTIR علت تغییر رنگ سنگ ها از خاکستری به سفید را افزایش رسوب اگزالات کلسیم، نشان داد. نتایج حاصل از تصویر برداری با میکروسکوپ الکترونی نشان می دهد که استقرار گلسنگ درون سنگی (Verrucaria buschirensis s.lat.) خانواده ی Verrucariaceae و نفود هیف ها به داخل سنگ آسیب جدی به سطوح سنگ های میراث جهانی تخت جمشید وارد می کند و هر گونه غفلت در این زمینه آسیب های جبران ناپذیر بیشتری بر نقوش ظریف میراث جهانی تخت جمشید بیشتری در پی خواهد کرد.
